With just 18 days left until Election Day, financial guru Dave Ramsey made headlines by announcing his endorsement for the upcoming presidential election. Known for his financial advice, Ramsey began by explaining the rationale behind his decision. On Friday, he revealed that he is casting his vote for Donald Trump, citing key policy areas that align with his personal and professional values. “I’m looking at ideas and which ideas land on which side of the aisle. Where am I most likely going to get a tax policy I like, an immigration policy I like, a foreign policy I like?” Ramsey asked in the video. His endorsement clearly stressed that, in his view, Trump’s policies align more with his priorities than those of the Democratic contender.
“So I’m gonna tell you, I’m voting for Donald Trump… because I check those boxes, and more of those are on that side than on the other side,” he said. In true Ramsey fashion, he addressed potential backlash head-on, acknowledging that his endorsement may alienate some of his listeners. However, the popular radio host seemed unfazed by the prospect of losing followers over his political stance.
“You can tell me you’re never gonna listen to me again after this. That’s okay. I can deal with that,” Ramsey said. “That’s happened to me for 30 years. People have threatened me, ‘I’m going to cancel you.’ That’s hard to do. I own the show.” In his final remarks, Ramsey reiterated his confidence in Trump’s policy positions while reinforcing his autonomy as a public figure. “You can leave, but you can’t cancel me.”
