ABC’s George Stephanopoulos accused U.S. Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) of using a “slur” to describe Vice President Kamala Harris’ “racial identity and proceeded to throw a temper tantrum during Sunday’s edition of “This Week.”
The ABC host asked the Florida congressman for his thoughts on Trump’s appearance at a conference for black journalists earlier this week. Trump pointed out that Harris frequently leans on identity politics as a selling point and will tailor her message based on her audience. In particular, Trump noted that Harris will jump between her Indian and Jamaican heritage whenever convenient.
After Rep. Donalds attempted to discuss serious issues as opposed to Trump’s appearance at the conference, Stephanopoulos pressed the issue. “And you just repeated the slur again. If it doesn’t matter, why do you all keep questioning her identity? She’s always identified as a black woman. She is biracial. She has a Jamaican father and Indian mother. She’s always identified as both. Why are you questioning that?” a scowling Stephanopoulos asked…
