WATCH: Kamala Harris Is Now Using Headphones to Avoid Taking Questions From Reporters

Vice President Kamala Harris appears to be employing a new strategy in order to avoid taking questions from reporters in-between campaign events.

Since Harris became the de-facto Democratic Party presidential nominee in July, she has been under fire from former President Donald Trump and other critics due to her refusal to talk to the press.

In the more than 40 days since President Biden suspended his re-election campaign, Harris has sat for just one interview. The lone interview has raised eyebrows, as Harris was joined by her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, and spoke to a left-leaning network in CNN for just 18 minutes.

Since mid-July, Harris has yet to sit for a solo interview and has yet to hold a formal press conference. She has also largely avoided taking impromptu questions from the press during and ahead of campaign events.

To that end, the vice president appears to be employing a new strategy to avoid the press altogether.

While departing Joint Base Andrews for a campaign event in Detroit, Michigan, Harris could be seen wearing headphones. The vice president gave reporters a brief, seemingly dismissive wave as they shouted questions before she quickly hurried up the stairs to an awaiting plane…
