Secretary of War Pete Hegseth felt the “need for speed” in classic “Top Gun” style in an epic video of him flying to the “danger zone” inside an F-18 fighter jet during his recent visit to Nevada’s Naval Air Station Fallon.
In a teaser post on X, Hegseth shared several great snaps from his naval air station visit and wrote, “The [Joint Chiefs of Staff] Chairman [General Dan Caine] and I took a ride into the danger zone with TOPGUN at Naval Air Station Fallon. Incredible Americans.”

The Department of War later released a sneak video peek of their trip to the skies in the fighter jets. The post read, “TURN AND BURN! Secretary of War Pete Hegseth visited TOPGUN at Naval Air Station Fallon. Extended version with cockpit footage coming soon…
