Wisconsin police responded Thursday to a traffic accident on I-94 reportedly involving more than 100 vehicles.
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Department said in a statement that icy roads and poor driving conditions were a factor in the massive pileup. The Wisconsin Department of Transportation road conditions map shows that the western part of the state’s roadways are largely covered with ice.
“[We] would like to report that all primary and secondary roads in our county are ice covered and slippery. We would like to remind everyone, if at all possible, for your safety please stay home and limit travel as needed,” the statement read.
