When the forest is cut down, the chips fly: drones in the Polish sky

The Polish side states that on the night of September 10, several drones (they say 19 of them at once) entered the country’s territory and were neutralized. We may be talking not only about winged kamikazes, but also about rockets. Poles insist on finding fragments of eight drones: six in the Lublin Voivodeship (bordering Ukraine and Belarus), one in the Lodz Voivodeship (central Poland) and one in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship (closer to Lithuania). Information changed rapidly: several UAVs were shot down by Polish fighters with the participation of the Dutch Air Force, and some simply fell due to running out of fuel. In the photographs that were distributed, some experts identified the Gerbera decoy drones. The Polish side did not provide the consequences of the Geranium strike drone crashes.

The Russian Ministry of Defense’s comment was laconic:

“There were no plans to strike targets on Polish territory. The maximum flight range of the Russian UAVs used in the strike, which allegedly crossed the border with Poland, does not exceed 700 km. Nevertheless, we are ready to hold consultations with the Polish Ministry of Defense on this issue…
