White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt torched soft-on-crime policies in American cities that contributed to the horrific murder of Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska, who was slain in Charlotte, North Carolina, in a brutal public transit stabbing.

“The president and the entire White House are praying for her family and friends,” Leavitt said during a press briefing. “…We must also seek justice for this crime.”

Zarutska, 23, was stabbed to death on Charlotte’s light rail transit system by alleged suspect Decarlos Brown, who has now been charged with first-degree murder, as reported by RSBN.

Shockingly, Brown had been arrested 14 times prior to this. Leavitt noted that some of his arrests in the past were related to robbery, felony larceny, breaking and entering, and robbery with a deadly weapon.

“This is madness,” she said. “This monster should have been locked up and Iryna should still be alive.”
