When the news broke that Democrats were pushing for 87,000 new IRS agents, there was a ripple of apprehension across the nation. When we heard the job description involved weapons training, that apprehension rose to alarm.
Why would anything other than a police state need tens of thousands of weapons-trained accountants as public servants? The combined total of IRS employees once those 87,000 are brought in is comparable to the entire number of active-duty marines as of 2021.
It made no sense that so many public servants were armed for no apparent reason.
Time went on, as it always does, and the story grew stale while people turned their attention to other things. That doesn’t mean the problem went away… especially now that we’ve begun HIRING those thousands upon thousands of public servants.
But what do we see if we take a step back and look beyond the IRS? Will we see anything we’ve all missed before now?…
