Wisconsin Senators Say Outside Groups May Try to ‘Exploit’ Waukesha Parade Killings

Outside parties may attempt to exploit the killings at a Christmas parade in Wisconsin, the two U.S. senators who represent the state said in a rare joint statement on Saturday.

The exploitation would be for “political purposes,” Sens. Tammy Baldwin (D-Wis.) and Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) said.

“As the U.S. Senators representing Wisconsin, one from each political party, we are asking anyone considering such action to cease and desist,” they said.

A person driving a red SUV plowed into a parade in Waukesha on Nov. 21, killing six and leaving some 61 others injured.

Darrell Brooks of Milwaukee was arrested on suspicion of being the driver and charged with multiple homicide counts. He is being held on $5 million bond. The next hearing in the case is not scheduled until January 2022…
