WITCH HUNT: Susan Collins Supports New Biden Regime Investigation Into Trump

One of the most loathsome figures to have emerged in the war on Trump is Senator Susan Collins. The grandstanding, double-dealing RINO from Maine joined along with the treacherous Mitt Romney, uniting with Democrats to torpedo a 2024 Trump bid.

On Sunday morning, Collins put her coveted “bipartisan” seal of approval on the latest iteration of the endless witch hunt. She announced her support for Joe Biden’s politically motivated Justice Department to investigate former attorney generals Jeff Sessions and William Barr.

The reason for the latest investigation is a New York Times report that the Trump DOJ seized records of Democrat Congressman Adam Schiff from tech giant Apple in a search for leaks out of the House Intelligence Committee.

According to the Times, records were also subpoenaed for Democrat Rep. Eric Swalwell, a man who had a relationship with a female Chinese spy named “Fang Fang”. Swalwell who is married with two children has refused to answer questions on whether there was a sexual nature to their dalliances.

Collins appeared on CBS’s “Face The Nation” where she announced her support for yet another investigation into Trump during a chat with host John Dickerson.

According to Collins, “There are two serious allegations here. One has to do with whether or not there was a leak of classified information by members of Congress. But the second, which is also important, is, has the Justice Department abused its power by going after members of Congress or the press for partisan, political purposes?”

“And that’s why I support the deputy attorney general’s request that the inspector general of the Department of Justice do an in-depth investigation of both of these issues. That is really important,” It is notable that Collins was silent when Schiff abused his power to subpoena the phone records of Trump allies during the impeachment farce.

Now Schiff is also demanding an investigation as an unbelievable third impeachment of Trump timed to coincide with next year’s midterms remains a distinct possibility.

We need a full accounting of the Trump DOJ’s abuse of power targeting Congress and the press.

An IG investigation is just the start.

The full range of the misconduct must be examined, including Barr’s efforts to protect those who lied to cover up, and go after Trump’s enemies.

DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz is an Obama holdover who like so many others was burrowed deeply into the nation’s top law enforcement agency. On Friday he announced the probe into Barr and Sessions but let’s face it, Trump is the target.

Dems are also looking to distract from the controversy over anti-Semitic Rep. Ilhan Omar’s latest incendiary remarks that the U.S. and Israel are equivalent to terrorist groups Hamas and the Taliban. Nancy Pelosi dropped by CNN’s State Of The Union to demand an investigation.

According to Madame Speaker, the alleged subpoenas for the metadata of her underlings was worse than Nixon. She referred to the nation’s 37th president whose second term was cut short by scandal and disgrace.

The Justice Department has been rogue under the Trump Administration.
