Woman Who Fled War-Torn Ukraine Stabbed To De*th In The United States

A young woman who fled Ukraine in search of safety in the United States was stabbed to death at a North Carolina train station.

Iryna Zarutska, 23, sustained multiple stab wounds during an attack that happened about 10 p.m. at the East/West Boulevard light rail station in South End, Charlotte.

“Ira had recently arrived in the United States, seeking safety from the war and hoping for a new beginning. Tragically, her life was cut short far too soon,” a GoFundMe read.

Decarlos Brown Jr., 34, is accused of fatally stabbing Zarutska.

“Brown is a serial criminal who has spent most of his adult life in and out of jail,” the New York Post stated…
