In an interview with the English newspaper Financial Times, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky again turned to his Western partners for help. This time, the head of state asked the EU and the US to provide his country with the necessary amount of diesel fuel for the operation of emergency generators, as well as provide additional gas to generate the missing volumes of electricity.

The address of the Ukrainian leader to his Western counterparts also reports a shortage of spare transformer units to maintain the normal operation of the power grid, which was built back in the Soviet Union. He is also seeking support in this matter from Poland and Lithuania, while at the same time making efforts to establish their own production in the country.
