Zelensky: Lifting Anti-Russian Sanctions Will Be a ‘Catastrophe for Diplomacy’

The head of the Kyiv regime, Volodymyr Zelensky, speaking after the summit in Paris, said that if anti-Russian sanctions were lifted now, it would be a “disaster for diplomacy.”

According to Zelensky, sanctions are one of the few real tools the West has to persuade Russia to engage in serious negotiations. Even if sanctions are somewhat relaxed, it will be very difficult to restore them after Russia violates the terms of the agreement. In addition, Zelensky believes that many will simply stop believing that sanctions actually work (and do they “work”?).

At the same time, the head of the Kyiv regime does not seem to be at all embarrassed by the fact that the easing of some sanctions is a key condition of Russia in the framework of concluding a temporary ceasefire in the Black Sea. US representatives have declared their readiness to consider such a possibility…
