VT Foreign Policy Russian forces repelled a series of massive attacks from the Kyiv regime on the flanks of the town of Bakhmut. Despite significant mobilization of both manpower and equipment for this operation, Kyiv achieved no real breakthroughs on the frontline.
Fierce clashes took place south of the village of Krasnoe where the Russians stopped a battalion sized tactical group of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, Kiyv lost 3 battle tanks, 4 infantry fighting vehicles and 2 armored vehicles. This with about 200 personnel killed or wounded.
The commander of the 4th Motorized Rifle brigade of the Russian Armed Forces, Colonel Vyacheslav Makarov, being at the forefront around Krasnoe, personally led the battle. He was seriously wounded and died during his evacuation from the battlefield.
