11 Powerful Bible Passages About the End Times and Jesus’ Return

Eschatology, which is also known as “end times” theology, is an area of biblical study that has captivated the masses for more than two millennia. Over time, various interpretations and theories have emerged surrounding Christ’s return and the end of the world as we know it. These ideas have been embedded in contemporary books and films, as believers look to entertainment — and current events — for clues surrounding what’s to come.

But what does the Bible really say about the end times? There are, in fact, many verses that speak about the future return of Christ and the events and conditions that will one day come to fruition. These verses and themes are explored in countless films that you can watch right now on PureFlix.com.

“Black Rider” and “Left Behind: Tribulation Force,” among other feature films, were inspired by events described in the Book of Revelation, the prophetic book that concludes the New Testament.

And while the Book of Revelation is the most well-known area of scripture for most Christians when studying end times prophecy, it is far from the only place in scripture that describes what will unfold during the “last days.”

If you’re interested in learning more about what the Bible says about the end times, here are some additional key passages for you to take into consideration:

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 (KJV)

“But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.”

2 Timothy 3:1-5 (KJV)

“This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, high minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.”

Mark 13:32 (KJV)

“But of that day and [that] hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.”

Matthew 24:7 (KJV)

“For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.”

Matthew 24:6 (KJV)

“And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all [these things] must come to pass, but the end is not yet.”

“In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.”

“And it shall come to pass afterward, [that] I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit. And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come. And it shall come to pass, [that] whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call.”

There ain’t gonna be no rapture …. it’s not in the bible . But if it makes ya feel good …..
As far as all the prophecy for the ” end times ”
Why do you care ? You don’t know – Jesus said he don’t . It doesn’t matter if and when . You can’t do a damn thing about it so why worry .
The above quotes from the bible tell nothing of WHEN it will happen .. if it does the way people speculate it will .. they way they THINK it will .
You don’t know . No one does . But the quotes above . Can be assonated with most to all of mans previous history . Not just the 21st century .
Oh and a bunch of people that think they are going to heaven … where ever the hell that is ?
You’re not going . You just think you are . A whole bunch of us ain’t on the roster . And no matter who you ask what you do and how much you beg Jesus … a whole bunch are just predestined not to go .
