The House Judiciary Committee has released a preliminary report detailing how, under the name of Election Integrity Partnership (EIP), the federal government, in conjunction with Stanford University and major online content hosts such as Alphabet (Google) and Meta (Facebook), actively throttled online speech by major conservative individuals and organizations by labeling their content “misinformation.”
As Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) noted in a series of messages on X (formerly Twitter) on November 6, Stanford provided information regarding its participation in EIP solely under the threat of being held in contempt.
Here’s how it worked:
-EIP “stakeholders” (including the federal gov’t) would submit misinformation reports
-EIP would “analyze” the report and find similar content across platforms
-EIP would submit the report to Big Tech, often with a recommendation on how to censor
