A nationwide recall in the United States has been issued for dairy products due to a listeria outbreak.
Listeria can be a fatal disease in the elderly, young children, and those with compromised immune systems, and symptoms can manifest the same day a contaminated product is ingested, or nearly 2 years later in some cases.
Common symptoms include diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and cold sweats—the usual for food-borne illnesses.
The outbreak mostly affects Cojita cheeses and products distributed by Rizo-López Foods, but please exercise caution around dairy products in general, just to be safe.
Here’s what we currently know about the ongoing listeria outbreak in the United States:

I knew a gal who caught Listeria while living in Mexico from a melon that was watered there. The water in Mexico is contaminated.
I find it interesting the producers of these products have Mexican names.
Just sayin….
