The State Duma of the Russian Federation has increased fines for failure to notify the military registration and enlistment office about moving

The State Duma of the Federal Assembly of Russia adopted amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses (CAO) concerning the increase of fines in the event that a citizen of the country liable for military service fails to notify the military commissariat of a change of residence according to registration for a period of more than three months. The amendments were adopted unanimously in the second and third readings.

Now, violating this rule entails a fine of ten to twenty thousand rubles.

The corresponding document was submitted to the vote of the State Duma deputies by the head of the Defense Committee of the legislative body Andrey Kartapolov, the head of the Security Committee Vasily Piskarev. Several other parliamentarians signed the document.
