The American Association of Retired Persons, more commonly known as AARP – “the nation’s largest nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to empowering Americans 50 and older to choose how they live as they age” – recently urged its roughly 38 million members to receive an eighth Covid vaccine.
Reported by journalist Alex Berenson, published in the December edition of the monthly AARP Bulletin, a member’s only magazine, the organization ran an article titled, “I’m Up To Five Covid Boosters. Should I Really Be Signing Up For Yet Another Shot Now?”
In short, the AARP says yes, writing, “Yes. If you didn’t get a COVID vaccine this fall, you need to hustle and catch up.”
The paper goes on to note: “… the most recent shot, which was released in September 2023, isn’t actually a booster. It’s a new vaccine that targets the latest variants.”
Researchers are even working on a combined COVID-flu vaccine, so a few years from now, a single shot from your doctor or pharmacy may be all you need to protect yourself fully.
AARP also wrote
Berenson pointed out that “someone who has had “five Covid boosters” has actually received seven mRNA jabs – the initial two-shot primary vaccination regimen, followed by five boosters,” he wrote…
