Apparently, Bidenâs DOJ views parents objecting to its leftist agenda as domestic terrorists despite Garlandâs denial.
Back on October 21, Attorney General Merrick Garland appeared before the House Judiciary Committee to answer questions regarding his October 4 directive creating a task force to coordinate with local authorities in investigating instances of parents âthreateningâ school administration officials, teachers, or staff. Garlandâs directive came on the heels of a letter sent by the National School Boards Association to the Biden administration in which the NSBA requested action against parents it labeled as âdomestic terroristsâ for vehemently voicing their opposition to Critical Race Theory, âtransgenderâ promotion, and masking mandates.
During questioning, Garland admitted that the NSBA letter was the primary basis for his speech-squelching directive. He defended his action by arguing, âI think all of us have seen these reports of violence and threats of violence â that is what the Justice Department is concerned about.â When pressed, Garland insisted: âI do not think that parents getting angry at school boards for whatever reason constitutes domestic terrorism. Itâs not even a close question.â And yet, even when it was noted that the NSBA apologized for its letter and that thereâs scant evidence supporting the narrative that school board members are being subjected to criminal threats, Garland refused to rescind his directive…
