Nearly half of the patients currently in New York hospitals with COVID-19 were admitted for reasons other than the disease, the state said on Jan. 7.
Forty-three percent of the 11,548 hospitalized patients didnât have COVID-19 listed as one of the reasons for admission, Gov. Kathy Hochulâs office said.
