Antigua and Barbuda may try to remove King Charles III as its head of state

King Charles III had just taken the throne last week when one Caribbean leader floated the idea of doing away with the British monarch as his country’s head of state.

Gaston Browne, prime minister of Antigua and Barbuda, announced he plans to hold a referendum within the next three years to decide whether to remove the king as head of state and become a republic.

“This is a matter that has to be taken to a referendum for the people to decide,” Browne told ITV News

    The monarchy is not “by law” any longer anyway. Truly there is none worthy because of their marriages, except QEII change the rules to suit themselves.
    King Charles is interm till his coronation. QEII was queen because George’s (her Dad) older brother Edward stepped down, in the interm (never crowned) because he wanted to marry a divorced woman… As Charles did, n was divorced, as Harry did plus married outside royal blood, n Willam married outside of Royal blood line, breaking “by law” Royal Protocol. So, let’s change the law! Does not make it right, just makes it acceptable to lowering standards.
