The House Judiciary Committee, under Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH), has initiated an inquiry into the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office, helmed by Fani Willis. The investigation centers on allegations of politically motivated prosecutions and the possible misuse of federal funds.
This could have significant repercussions for Willis’ top prosecutor, Nathan J. Wade.
The committee’s focus is particularly on the indictment of former President Donald Trump, a move facilitated by Wade and Willis in August 2023. The action has garnered scrutiny due to its unprecedented nature and potential political motivations. “The Committee on the Judiciary continues to conduct oversight of politically motivated prosecutions by state and local officials,” the letter starts.
