Chicago’s leftist, gay mayor is attempting to justify her refusal to work with immigration officials after an illegal alien was caught raping a three-year-old child.
The Chicago Police accused Christopher Puente, 34, of sexually molesting a three-year-old child in the bathroom of a downtown McDonald’s restaurant.
The suspect had previously been deported, officials said, but he was in the city again because Chicago did not turn him over to ICE last year after an arrest for theft. Because of that he was wandering free in the Windy City.
Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s policy of allowing all illegal criminals to escape justice has just gotten a child raped.
ICE took a slap at the Democrat mayor for her dangerous policy of mollycoddling illegals.
ICE said in a news release Thursday Puente was placed into Chicago police custody in June of 2019 after he was arrested for theft. According to ICE, Chicago police were expected to hold Puente until he could be taken into their custody, as Puente was expected to be deported.
However, at some point Puente was released prior to the alleged incident at the River North McDonald’s, ICE said.
But now, Mayor Lightfoot is stumbling around trying to justify her dangerous policies.
