“You people truly suck!” Donald Trump Jr. wrote to Twitter in response to media reports that “drug touted by Trump to possibly treat virus can kill in just 2 grams.”
Mr. Trump Jr. responded to a Bloomberg News article that was shared by Microsoft News (MSN). The article was not attributed to a specific author nor was there an Editor’s Note or Correction Notice added to the article at the time of this reporting.
“What’s your point?” Mr. Trump Jr. asks. “2 grams of caffeine can kill you too, but no one is planning on prescribing that much.”
“This bulls**t is why everyone hates and doesn’t trust the media,” Trump Jr. continued. “They are trying to create fear for clicks with misleading and irrelevant info.”
Trump Jr. is correct in pointing out that it’s many drugs and medications can be deadly in seemingly small doses. This is a common characteristic shared by many substances if consumed or injected in humans.
Bloomberg News and MSN published the article stating, “The drug touted by the U.S. President Donald Trump as a possible line of treatment against the coronavirus comes with severe warnings in China and can kill in dosages as little as two grams.”
Dr. Milton Wolf of Kansas agreed with Trump Jr. while writing to Twitter, “FACTS, 1. Every drug ever in history kills if overdosed. 2. Even water kills if taken in excess. 3. The American media is garbage. They’ll claim a cure is a killer just to bash @realDonaldTrump. They are the enemy of the people.”
