Resist the Mainstream Author Michael Wolff reportedly told Jeffrey Epstein to try to end President Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign to save himself.
On Wednesday, the House Oversight Committee released over 20,000 pages of documents in the Epstein files.
Dozens of emails by Epstein mentioned Trump.
Democrats have used the emails as a means to allege that the president partook in Epstein’s horrific sex crimes.
However, one of Epstein’s most well-known victims, Virginia Giuffre, denied allegations that the president was involved in wrongdoing.
“NYT called me about you and Trump. Also, Hillary campaign digging deeply. Again, you should consider preempting,” he told Epstein in February 2016.
According to the New York Post, Epstein invited Wolff to a meeting between himself and former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak.
In response to Wolff’s comments, Epstein said, “Lots of reporters.”
“Yeah, you’re the Trump bullet,” Wolff fired back.
Just months prior, Wolff advised Epstein on how to deal with Trump if he won the election, which, of course, he ultimately did.
The author told the infamous financier that the more Trump denies the allegations against him, the greater “political currency” he would have.
He urged Epstein to let the president “hang himself” over the issue.
“I think you should let him hang himself,” Wolff said in an email dated Dec. 16, 2015.
