New reports suggest that, Israel, in the midst of its persistent operations in Gaza, is soon planning to officially go to war against Hezbollah in an invasion of Lebanon.
According to The Times of Israel on June 8th, the Israeli Defense Force (IDF) reported that that they failed to intercept a drone strike after their sirens did not sound, which they most likely attribute to being from Hezbollah.

Separately, The TOI noted: âOn Friday evening, the military said two rockets launched from Lebanon struck open areas near Matat, setting off sirens in the border community. Sirens a short while earlier in the Western Galilee warning of a suspected drone infiltration were a false alarm, the IDF said.â
The paper added: âMeanwhile, the IDF said Israeli fighter jets struck a Hezbollah rocket launcher and other infrastructure in southern Lebanon on Friday. Troops also shelled several locations with artillery and mortars to âremove threats,â the military added. Earlier Friday, the IDF said Israeli fighter jets struck buildings used by Hezbollah in southern Lebanonâs Jabal Rezlane, and in the towns of Ramyeh and Kafr Kila overnight.â
