Former First Lady Rosalynn Carter died at the age of 96.
Carter died inside of her home in Plain, Georgia with her family by her side.
On Friday, Rosalynn who was the wife of the 39th President Jimmy Carter, was admitted to hospice care.
Her cause of death has yet to be released to the public but she lived a long and healthy life but was plagued with sicknesses during the last month of her life.
In a stament former President Jimmy Carter shared âRosalynn was my equal partner in everything I ever accomplished.â
