Group of maskless protesters invades 2 Kennewick stores

by Samantha Spitz

KENNEWICK, Wash. — A group of maskless shoppers entered two stores in Kennewick on Sunday afternoon, saying they should be able to exercise their right not to wear a mask amid the pandemic.

The group approached the Craft Warehouse storefront in Kennewick without masks.

Action News witnessed Craft Warehouse staff members informing the group curb-side pick up was an option but demonstrators still entered the store.

Before heading over to Craft Warehouse, the group was first spotted inside Target.

Police said they responded to the scene after both businesses contacted them saying demonstrators failed to leave the store after being asked.

Police said no one was arrested or injured.
