Gov. Kevin Stitt Has Reportedly Chosen Appointee To Fill Sen. Markwayne Mullin’s Seat

Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt has reportedly chosen oil and gas executive Alan Armstrong to complete the remainder of Sen. Markwayne Mullin’s term.

The move follows the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee advancing Mullin’s nomination to lead the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), setting up a vote before the full chamber.

Mullin’s nomination may be confirmed by the Senate as early as this week.

Stitt and Armstrong were expected to meet with President Trump at Mar-a-Lago on Sunday to discuss the appointment.
