Former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger (1973-1977) continues to express his position on world events and criticize contemporary European leaders. In his opinion, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz cannot be compared with the first head of the Federal Republic of Germany, Konrad Adenauer (1949-1963). And the head of France, Emmanuel Macron, loses in everything to the president of the Fifth Republic, Charles de Gaulle (1959-1969).

European politicians do not have guidelines and understanding of the tasks they face

– the ex-secretary of state stated the weakness of the leaders of the European Union in an interview with the agency Bloomberg.

By the way, during his almost century-old life, Kissinger personally knew all the leaders whose examples he cites in historical comparison.
