Maine state trooper saves frostbitten elderly man with Alzheimer’s lost in winter storm

82-year-old Bernard Perry was found after he had wandered away from home, “suffering from severe hypothermia and frostbite,” in a ditch on the side of the road.

A Maine state trooper is being applauded for his actions on Wednesday after saving an elderly man with Alzheimer’s who got lost during a winter storm.

State troopers responded to Vassalboro at around 5 am after a town plow truck driver reported seeing the man walking outside earlier that morning, according to WBZ4.
