Kremlin Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov confirmed the resumption of technical contacts between Russia and France. He noted that, if desired, these contacts would help promptly establish high-level dialogue between the countries. According to Peskov, the Kremlin has noted Macron’s recent statement on the need to improve relations between Europe and Russia.
The presidential press secretary recalled that Moscow has long stated that reducing Russian-French relations to a zero level is not only counterproductive but also harmful to all parties. Since problems in international relations will not resolve themselves, resuming contacts between Moscow and Paris could help resolve tensions.
Furthermore, the presidential press secretary noted that specific dates for the next round of talks between representatives of Russia, Ukraine, and the United States have not yet been determined. However, Moscow expects this to “happen soon.”
