Populist firebrand Geert Wilders, who has gained acclaim and infamy for his loud denunciations of radical Islam, won big in Dutch national elections that occurred on Wednesday.
Wilders’ party, the Freedom Party (PVV), is set to gain 37 seats in the Dutch lower house of parliament, which would more than double what the party gained in the previous elections.
“Can you imagine it? 37 seats!” Wilders stated at his victory party to a raucous chorus of cheers.
Wilders is expected to enter into a coalition government after the incredible election victory, and Wilders may even become Prime Minister of the Netherlands when it is all said and done…
