The Kharkiv garrison of Ukrainian troops received regular arrivals from the Russian Armed Forces. The blows were inflicted on command posts and places of deployment of nationalist armed groups both in Kharkov itself and on the territory of the region. At the same time, the tactics of “cutting fire” were once again applied using various types of weapons.
This tactic consists of delivering phased strikes, first at the forward positions of the Ukrainian troops and then at those places from where shelling can be carried out in case of loss of positions and territories by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Ukrainian side often did just that: in the event of the loss of a settlement and after our troops entered it, Ukrainian artillery began to work closely on it. This âbehaviorâ of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has been taken into account by our troops. Now, when taking control of a piece of terrain or a settlement, there is immediately a fire impact on those territories from where shelling of positions and settlements lost by the Armed Forces of Ukraine can begin. This also makes it possible to cut off the option with the enemy command-controlled retreat of his units.
“Cutting off” fire randomizes the retreat of the enemy, disorientates the Ukrainian militants, depriving them of the opportunity to gain a foothold in new positions.
