As noted, Graham’s warning comes less than 24 hours after the Washington Post published a story claiming Attorney General Bill Barr disputes some of the report’s findings, specifically on Russia. It has become increasingly clear staff at the DOJ Inspector General’s office are leaking information to media.
A number of key figures expected to be named and scrutinized in the coming report have been doing media interviews in order to shape the narrative. Former FBI attorney Lisa Page, who had an affair with FBI counterintelligence agent Peter Strzok, is one of them. She sat down with The Daily Beast for an interview, which was released yesterday. She’s portrayed as a victim and someone who “doesn’t want to be famous.” From the piece:

But recently, I did just that when I sat down with Lisa Page the week before Thanksgiving in my hotel room in Washington, D.C. Page, of course, is the former FBI lawyer whose text-message exchanges with agent Peter Strzok that belittled Donald Trump and expressed fear at his possible victory became international news. They were hijacked by Trump to fuel his âdeep stateâ conspiracy.
Meanwhile, Strzok is suing DOJ for unlawful firing and former Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe, who was fired for lying under oath, is working at CNN.
