WASHINGTON (VINnews) — According to a bombshell report, Attorney General Merrick Garland is the unnamed official at the center of an alleged scandal involving Hunter Biden.
According to the NY Post, Garland’s sworn testimony before Congress is being challenged in a stunning “whistleblower” letter that alleges a massive coverup.
Attorney Mark Lytle wrote Wednesday that an anonymous IRS employee has information to “contradict sworn testimony to Congress by a senior political appointee” as well as a claim that “preferential treatment” was given to Hunter Biden by investigators.
If the allegations are true, it would implicate the country’s top law enforcement official in a scandal of historic proportions.
The anonymous whistleblower has supervised the IRS’s investigation of Hunter Biden for alleged tax evasion linked to his income from countries such as China and Ukraine.
Garland has repeatedly claimed under oath that Delaware US Attorney David Weiss has full permission and autonomy to criminally charge Hunter Biden without the permission of DOJ leadership, a fact which Republicans have challenged.
