Sidney Powell demands record of Georgia Zoom meeting where officials voted not to do ‘real audit’

Attorney Sidney Powell posted an open letter to Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger and also revealed she is planning to file a major lawsuit in the state.

The former federal prosecutor accused state officials Tuesday of refusing “to perform a real audit” and requested records from the Zoom meeting of the day in an “open records act request” she posted on Twitter. Powell, who has been a vocal critic of Raffensperger and Georgia’s Gov. Brian Kemp, also told Fox Business host Lou Dobbs that a lawsuit described as a “massive document” would be filed on Wednesday.

“Please consider this an open records act request for the #Zoom meeting of today’s date with electors & your refusal to perform a real audit to include envelopes & all documents required,” Powell tweeted on Tuesday, directing her message to Raffensperger, a Republican, and adding the hashtag #TrumpLandslide.

The Trump campaign has called for a recount in the state as well as an audit of the vote to “double-check the signature matching efforts of local election workers,” the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

Out of about 5 million ballots cast in Georgia, Democrat Joe Biden appears to have defeated President Donald Trump by just 12,670 votes in tallies determined after a hand recount of every ballot.

While the state’s voting system manager, Gabriel Sterling, believes an audit to check the signature matching on ballots is possible, he said “we can’t open investigations based on generalized, ‘we’re not happy with the outcome‘” of the election.

Powell, who said recently that she is representing “WeThePeople,” and not working directly with Trump’s legal team, told Dobbs on Tuesday that she expects to file a lawsuit in Georgia “no later than tomorrow.”

“The defendants are going to be folks in Georgia who are responsible for supposedly making sure the elections in Georgia are done properly,” she said on Lou Dobbs Tonight.

“And there are just countless incidents of voter fraud and election fraud writ large in Georgia,” she added.

Powell added that she expects to be filing lawsuits in other places as well, “rolling them out as fast as we can,” and assured Dobbs that she will be meeting all the deadlines that are approaching as the Electoral College meets in mid-December.

“Yes, the timing deadlines should be able to be met,” she said. “The evidence is so overwhelming it’s almost as though they were blatant about it. They expected us to catch it, maybe it’s a diversion from something else that is going on, I don’t know.”

The attorney added that it’s “clear that there was foreign intrusion into our voting systems and that will be where the rubber meets the road.”

Powell, who also represents retired Lt. Gen Michael Flynn, is confident Trump’s presidency can be saved.

“Yes, I definitely do. There are, there’s no issue in my mind, but that he was elected in an absolute landslide nationwide,” she said.

Attorney Lin Wood tweeted Tuesday that the “lawsuit Sidney will be filing tomorrow in GA speaks TRUTH.”

“Enemies of America will deny its allegations. Do NOT believe them,” Wood wrote. “Believe Sidney & me. We love America & freedom. Our enemies do not.”
