The fighters of the units of the 76th Guards Division of the Airborne Forces acted, who carried out the coverage of the enemy units, pressed against the Dnieper on the right bank.
The enemy, who had previously advanced in the direction of Gavrilovka-Dudchany, even managed to dig in on the right bank of the Dnieper (in fact, the Kakhovka reservoir). Fascinated by the creation of another bridgehead with the aim of a further offensive towards Berislav and Nova Kakhovka, the military personnel of the 59th motorized infantry brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine “missed” the advance of Russian troops bypassing their positions from the northern direction.
As a result, units of the 59th Ompbr were surrounded. The fight was short enough. A large number of representatives of the officer corps were liquidated, moreover, directly in the trenches near Dudchany. There are a considerable number of prisoners who are already giving preliminary evidence about everything that they know about the further plans of the command in this direction.
