South Africa: Police officers arrested for Horner’s death

By Dirk

Five police officers from Ladybrand and Bloemfontein have been arrested for the horrific murder of Brendin Horner. The possibility that they may be part of a syndicate is being investigated.

After police arrested two suspects last year, there was already talk that police officers could be involved in Horner’s death.

In May, the two suspects arrested for the murder of Horner were released because the blood on their clothes could not be linked to the murder.

After some farmers in the area reported their suspicions that the police’s stock theft unit was involved in several incidents, the Falcons followed up on the clues.

The suspects would appear in the Ladybrand Magistrate’s Court today on charges of stock theft, perjury and obstruction of justice.
