President Cyril Ramaphosa delivered opening remarks at the Bana Pele Early Childhood Development Leadership Summit on Monday, where he admitted past failures in education reform.
He then went on to say; “We should have closed all schools for two years, take the educators to re-educate centres, have them re-educated so that they are now ready to teach the children properly.
“Yes the children would have run around the streets without any education for 2 years but that would have gained us a lot of time to be able to reform our education system.”
