Startup Creates AI Home Security System That Fires Paintballs At Unwanted Visitors

A tech startup firm is looking to transform home security again with a proprietary camera that fires paintballs at unwanted visitors and trespassers.

The surveillance system is called PaintCam Eve, created by a Slovenia-based company called OZ-IT. ‘A line of autonomous property monitoring devices that will utilize motion detection and facial recognition to guard against supposed intruders,’ Popular Science reported.

Touted as the first of its kind, the website says, “PaintCam’s advanced technology detects both humans and pets, utilizing state-of-the-art facial recognition to distinguish between welcome guests and potential intruders. In the event of an unwanted intrusion, our system springs into action, deploying paintball markers or tear gas to deter the intruder and mark them for easy identification by authorities.”
