Free West Media Thailand’s state train operator DRT demands that passengers no longer talk during train journeys. This is to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

âApart from wearing face masks and making sure they are socially distant, passengers should not talk to each other or on the phone,â said DRT chief Kittiphan Panchan.
Passengers must also use hand sanitizers at the beginning and end of the journey and âcheck inâ with the Thai Chana infection tracking app.
The new train travel measures will be in place by July 25 at the latest.
Thailand has recently decided to change its vaccine policy after more than 600 Covid-19 cases were reported among about 600 000 vaccinated healthcare workers, who have received one dose of Chinese Sinovac. The country has decided that those vaccinated with the Chinese product would receive the first dose of Sinovac and the second dose of AstraZeneca.
In Indonesia, more than 350 doctors and medical workers fell ill in June despite being vaccinated with Sinovac and dozens have been hospitalized, officials told Reuters. Designated as a priority group, healthcare workers were the first to be vaccinated in January.
