More than 20 servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have so far been trained outside the country. This was stated by the Deputy Chief of the Main Operational Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Brigadier General Oleksiy Gromov.
According to the general, combat and special training of Ukrainian soldiers is carried out on the territory of Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia, with the participation of American and German military instructors and specialists. Throughout 2022, the headquarters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine brigades, as well as units of the battalion, company, and battery levels, including not only artillery batteries, but also air defense batteries, were trained in NATO countries.
The representative of the Armed Forces of Ukraine also noted that the Ukrainian military is being taught how to handle Western military equipment, which is being transferred to the Kyiv regime as military assistance. Now about 10 specialists have already been trained in handling Western weapons and military equipment, the Ukrainian general emphasized.
