Jesus, in His own words, directed His followers to:
“Be wise as the serpent and harmless as the dove.” Matthew 10:16
The word the has been dropped, in both places, from the King James Version of this important text, as well as most, if not all, of the other versions, and the words “serpent” and “dove” have been translated incorrectly into a plural form. This is the way it reads in the Greek/English Interlinear Bible. You will notice that the two words “the” are present in the original Greek, #3588, but are dropped from the English translation, as shown below.
The King James Version incorrectly reads:
“Be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.”
But that doesn’t make much sense. Snakes are not known for their superior intelligence! Is Jesus telling us to be as smart as a snake? No, Jesus is telling us to be as wise (prudent) as the scheming serpent – Satan, but harmless as the dove – which represented the character of Jesus Christ.
“Now, being baptized, Jesus straightaway stepped up from the water, and lo! The heavens were opened and He perceived the spirit (breath) of God descending as if a dove, and coming on Him.” Matthew 3:16
Jesus tells His followers to understand the scheming, wicked ways of the enemy – Satan, and His followers, just as Jesus understood those who were trying to kill Him! He wants us to be Awake! – Alert! – Wise! to the ways of those who are trying to destroy us, His followers, just as the same people – those who hated Christ 2,000 years ago – were trying to destroy Jesus when He was on earth.
The “Christian” Church of today is too busy swooning “Praise” songs, dancing around the alter with silken streamers, rolling on the floor with “holy laughter,” speaking in unintelligible “language” – the same “language” that those practicing voodoo speak, eating church potluck dinners filled with damaging, unhealthy food, and spreading mushy, false “love” – tolerance for the most debased sin, to be aware of, or understand, what the enemy is doing – or even WHO the enemy actually is!
The wolves have already entered the sheep-fold, and the sheep are unaware that the intent of the wolves is to DEVOUR them completely!
Christianity in Crisis
Christianity is passing through a crisis the likes of which it has never faced, since the time of Christ. Paul said the Christian’s instruments of battle are not physical:
“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds.”
The same thought is emphasized in the supernaturally inspired words to Zerubbabel:
“Not by might, nor by power, but by My spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.”
Christians have completely lost their old-time spiritual power – the promise of which has NOT been fulfilled by the silly uttering of gibberish known as “speaking in tongues” in the various “churches.” Christians have become weak, easily deceived, and infiltrated. Thus, Jewish Communist Atheism will arise and take its place.
The Russian Empire was destroyed by the Red Jewish hordes in the early 1900s because Russian Christians did not possess sufficient spiritual vitality to resist the onslaught.
The Greek Orthodox Church, that governed the religious life and thought of Russia, was a cold, dead, pagan institution. It lacked life, emotion, creative energy, and a true individual knowledge, oneness and personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Consequently it yielded to the first attack of organized Atheism. Its gorgeous temples were turned into museums, brothels, and centers of entertainment and vice. Its wealth was confiscated. Its priests and other leaders were put to death. Its members were slaughtered by the millions.
The “Christian” Church in America and around the world, today, is NO different!
The same fate is in America’s future!
In the first half of the 20th century, the German people were the most religious people in Europe. Protestantism was cradled there. Out of a population of sixty-seven million, sixty million Germans identified with some kind of a Christian Church.

The latter part of the eighteenth century witnessed the destruction of France and the same sinister forces were at work across the English Channel in Great Britain.
As Christians in America continue to lose their spiritual moorings, it requires no prophet to determine what the future will bring forth.
The Jews and the Prophets
“Even a casual reading of the Old and New Testaments will show that the Jews are a disobedient and rebellious people. Nowhere in Scripture are Christians required to excuse and condone their evil deed simply because of their culture or perceived “nationality.”
“Jesus knew better than anyone else the unspeakable crimes of which these people were and are capable. It was to them that He addressed the following powerful polemic:
‘Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! … And say, if we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets. Wherefore you are witnesses unto yourselves, that you are the children of them that killed the prophets. Fill up then the measure of your fathers. You serpents, you veneration of vipers, how can you escape the damnation of hell?”
“In this indictment Jesus lays the charge of persecuting and killing the prophets at the door of the Jewish people. It is by far the most severe, denunciatory and withering blast of language that fell from His lips during the entire thirty-three years that He was in the flesh.” The Jewish Assault on Christianity, Gerald Winrod, p 9.
This is one major reason that Jews are taught to hate Jesus. He exposed their evil, hateful, culture, their evil, hateful, deeds, and their evil, hateful, religion.
“The Jesus of this, the twenty-third chapter of Matthew, is not the quiet, reticent Jesus of modern literature and the fashionable pulpit. The Jesus, whose righteous indignation is here asserted, is a man of words and action, a man in the act of pronouncing eight woes upon the Jewish leaders and finally condemning them to the damnation of hell.
Jesus then predicts that they will treat His coming servants exactly like their fathers treated the prophets.
“Behold I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them you will kill and crucify; and some of them shall you scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city; That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias, son of Barachias, whom you slew between the temple and the altar.” Matthew 23:35
“True to the Lord’s promise, after His departure He sent the first group of messengers forth on the day of Pentecost. Others followed later. The book of Acts records the persecutions and deaths they suffered at the hands of the very Jews who declared they would not have been guilty of the similar conduct of their fathers.
“It is particularly significant to notice that Jesus blamed the Jews for the murder of Abel. But how could this have been in view of the fact that Abel was a son of Adam and Eve, whereas the Jews claim their origin from Abraham, about nineteen hundred years before the birth of Christ?
“When Jesus accused them of killing Abel, He was seeing beyond their particular nationality. He was seeing beyond the garb of flesh that they were wearing. He was looking deep into their souls. He was seeing the demonic poison that was stored up in their life stream. He knew that the same Satanic hatred for the program of God that took the life of Abel was to reach its climax in the murder of the Messiah and His apostles…
