After a plea deal that would have given Hunter Biden a slap on the wrist fell through earlier this year, a criminal case where he stands accused of failing to pay over $1 million in taxes, illegally possessing a firearm, and making false statements to authorities has progressed fairly quickly.
Legal analysts and pundits on both sides of the aisle decried the leniency of Hunter’s previous plea deal and have said that his likelihood of being found guilty in the criminal case against him is high.
Former MSNBC commentator and National Review writer Noah Rothman went so far as to call Hunter’s case ‘pretty open-and-shut’ on Friday.
“We’ve seen now that these charges that are coming out of California against Hunter Biden probably wouldn’t have happened in the absence of that testimony,” Rothman continued. “So there’s a certain amount of credibility that Mr. Shapley has, and I wouldn’t defer to him.”
Hunter Biden has administered a slow-acting poison to his father’s political career. All that’s left for Joe Biden to do is to choose how its symptoms manifest. https://t.co/PkDdahvuIX
