As the Western support for Ukraine’s war has dwindled and defeat seems imminent, President Volodymyr Zelensky is desperate to secure more funds, and has once again called upon Americans to forfeit their funds to give to Ukraine instead.
During a visit to the U.S., Zelensky met with a number of figures in an attempt to schmooze them into overturning more money. This included a number of bipartisan senators, and Democratic members of the Congress, along with the current House Speaker Mike Johnson, President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.
Zelensky also held a meeting with a number of executives from U.S. military defense contractors.
