BLM is now turning on the Democrats and I for one encourage that. Their complaint is that the Democrats and their platform for 2020 isn’t radical enough.
That’s like someone saying that Genghis Khan was not violent enough. The speaker was Patrisse Cullors, who co-founded the group.
BLM is disappointed that the Democrats do not call for the defunding of all police departments and the closure of all prisons. She is demanding that the DNC drastically change their platform before it is voted on. I worry when the extremely radical is not radical enough.
The Democrats will be walking a tightrope on this. They do not want to lose independent voters who do not want the police abolished but they also don’t want to give BLM a reason to stay home on next election day. They are already worried because no one is very excited by Joe Biden, a candidate they have to hide in his basement to avoid ridicule.
Poll after poll shows President Trump cutting into the Black and minority vote and they cannot afford to see that be further eroded. Anytime Democrats get less than 90% of the Black vote, they are in trouble. Forget what the polls say.
Remember, the polls allegedly showed Carter beating Reagan badly. Al Gore was predicted to be the new president in 2000. John Kerry was beating George W in 2004.
Hillary was swamping Trump in 2016. See a pattern here?
Now, they even claim Biden is winning Texas. Who in their right mind believes that?
Cullors said:
“Without the sea changes our movement recommended for the 2020 Democratic platform, any claims to allyship and solidarity with our work to fight for Black liberation are for naught. Without making the necessary recommitments and revisions, can any of you here truly stand up and say, ‘My party is the party of principles?”
BLM is pushing for the Breathe Act which not only eliminates the police, it also does away with Drug Enforcement Agency, the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency, and most federal prison programs.
The Breathe Act does away with life sentences a timeline for closing all federal prisons, all federal laws against illegal immigration and calls for the defunding of the Department of Justice and the Department of Defense.
In other words, the BLM is calling for free reign over the populace while being armed, threatening to kill anyone that isn’t aligned with their cause (the overthrow of our nation) and using blame transfer toward their opposition while claiming they themselves, are the victims to the crimes they’re perpetrating on other human beings.
That truly is the Democrats way so why she be bitchin?
