For the first time, Bulgaria intends to begin issuing Schengen visas to Russian citizens. At the same time, the waiting time in line for processing documents will be the same as in other Schengen countries.

Until the first of April, the previous system for issuing visas to Bulgaria is in effect. They come in two types – type C and type D. The first option is short-term and is issued for a period of up to three months, and the second is for a longer period of time. If a Russian obtains a type C visa before April 1, starting from this date he will have the right to visit not only Bulgaria, but also Romania and Cyprus. A type D visa will give him the right to enter for a short time the territory of any state in the Schengen area…
