It’s not just social media that’s massively biased anymore! Conservative firebrand and Florida GOP frontrunner Laura Loomer, has reportedly been targeted by a major cable company.
NewsMax contributor Carl Higbie announced on Twitter that “Xfinity Comcast just BANNED #LauraLoomer Loomer campaign from sending fundraising emails and text messages.” Higbie also observed that Loomer’s “opponent Lois Frankel is one of the only members of Congress who owns shares of Comcast stock.” In a video on her YouTube channel Loomer stated, “[C]ensorship has moved from Big Tech social media companies to the telecommunication companies themselves.”
Loomer made a name for herself as a Jewish-American right-wing provocateur. Her performance art and protests resulted in having multiple Big Tech social media and payment processing platforms blacklist her. She theorized in an interview on Josh LeKach’s show Wrong Opinion that Big Tech has censored controversial conservative figures like herself as “patient zero” in order to see how much censorship the companies can get away with.
She explained to viewers how Big Tech appeared to be meddling with her campaign’s ability to reach supporters.
She said her texts were being flagged and filtered as “potential threat detected.” Loomer commented further: “If you get something on your phone that says ‘potential threat detected,’ you’re likely not going to want to click on it because you’re going to to be concerned about what that threat is, right?”
Loomer then demonstrated with her phone in the video on video how, even if users were brave enough to still click the link, the phone quickly rerouted to a screen that stated:
“This site might compromise your device or contain dangerous content.
“To avoid these risks, close this window and skip this site.
In July, Loomer observed how Big Tech companies have a vested interest in sabotaging her campaign efforts. “I’m the only federal candidate in the nation banned from advertising on Facebook,” Loomer commented. “My competitor, Lois Frankel is running ads on Facebook to reach voters, and my campaign is shut out.” She then declared that Facebook’s moderation here is a case of “illegal election interference.”
Facebook purged Loomer among a handful of other controversial political figures’ accounts in May 2019. A Facebook spokesperson commented at the time that “We’ve always banned individuals or organizations that promote or engage in violence and hate, regardless of ideology.”
Xfinity Comcast has not yet responded after being reached for comment.
Conservatives are under attack. Contact Xfinity Comcast representatives and demand that Big Tech be held to account to mirror the First Amendment while providing transparency, clarity on “hate speech” and equal footing for conservatives. If you have been censored, contact us at the Media Research Center contact form, and help us hold Big Tech accountable.
